Growing up today is harder than it’s ever been. Between grades, friendships, family, social media, activities, and new responsibilities like work, driving, or taking care of siblings, it’s no wonder teens struggle with feelings of worry, stress, anger, low confidence, or mood swings.
Most parents and caregivers don’t completely understand what’s happening with their child and all this emotion. As adults, we can feel like we’re not doing something right and have our own yelling meltdowns too!
It’s not their fault, and it’s not yours either. Anytime a person is given an overwhelming task without the right tools, burnout and negative feelings are the results. What teens need is the emotional intelligence to navigate their rapidly changing world.
When teens become preoccupied with an embarrassing mistake they made, or worry about passing a hard test, these worries and fears can hijack their brains and negatively impact their days. Mindfulness is a researched-based tool that can lower stress and worry, and improve relationships, focus, and emotional regulation.
Instead of being stuck in “what happened” or worried about “what will happen”, mindfulness is simply about finding joy in the present moment. This book contains 100 mindfulness activities and journal prompts for teens ages 12-19, created with the help of a 15-year-old graphic design student in a fun 90’s collage theme.
The activities are broken up into six categories covering:

- Growth Mindset
Teens can draw, journal, or discuss their answers with someone they feel comfortable with.
